Site spans a good bit of north east side of Mellon lake. It doesn't get very deep into woods, so no real privacy from the very busy portage series located near by. That said, the rapids are right there. Swimming was fun and I suspect if I had fishing gear this would have been a productive spot. We got in around 6pm and left around 6am so we didn't see anyone else using portages.
