This is an extremely heavily used site. It is beat to hell. It was the most used site, in early spring, of any we used this entire trip. The pine needles were already gone. Folks have been cutting down standing trees way back into the woods. It is an ancient site too, been used forever, and it is showing the damage. Had 12 people come by in two huge canoes, and they sure wanted the site. I suspect it is used by these big groups on a frequent basis. I'd just as well stay in a smaller, less used site, rather than see decades of damage from overuse.

Great site. Protected, multiple easy landings, plenty of room, artifacts, obviously well used.

Nice protected site. Good landing and swimming area. Camp is set back from the lake. Excellent fishing on Jean.

Great site. Not sure why it comes up as three stars. 4-5 in my book. Great landing. If previous occupants left the site a mess, that should not indict the natural aesthetic. It should be judged on its own merits.

Not my favorite site for some reason although its big and on a point and checks many of the good campsite boxes. We got a big rainstorm at this camp and stayed inside the woods where it is more protected. Caught some nice smallmouth on the fly right in front. Easy canoe landing. I like the sites in the pinch point more. This site had TP all over bummer.

Unlike the site to the east, this site has everything I like in a campsite, minus the TP off the backside of the overlook cliff behind camp (thus the 4 stars).

I had visited this site in 1997 and stopped to see how it looked in 2014. I was shocked. Best things now are the nice landing area and the LARGE tent area back in the woods. FP and seating are now average or perhaps below average. There were some 2x4s or 2x6s lying near the seating -- don't know what that was all about. I'd give it 3-stars, tops.

Really this is just one big site with 35L. Fire ring is exposed to north wind. Good site--would stay here again. Fishing good nearby.

Rocky point, fire ring too close to tent, good canoe landing, nice view, good wood supply, previous latrine use not obvious. 35L is only a few metres away, so if you have use of both sites, together they are worth 4 stars.

Nice spot, we spent one night here in June 2005. This is a heavily used site, but the views are nice and the site is situated on a nice point. there is an adjoining site to allow this site to accommodate many people. THere was a fair amount of traffic here. Good fishing - caught a large Walleye.

This is a really nice site that is visable on the point as you enter the main part of Jean from Conk. There is a nice big solid rock shoreline to land canoes and enjoy the south, west and east of Jean Lake. The campfire area is nice and open, though one precarious tree is hanging over the area. The tent area is a few meters from the cooking area and has ample tent space. There was a major windstorm when we were at this site and we were well protected. Stayed here in June of 2003.
