Small campsite that is high up. Surprising had very little wind up there. The hike up to the site is tiring if you go up and down a lot. Shore fishing produced nothing but it is a short paddle from great fishing is west bay. My buddy pulled in a 47 inch 35 lbs northern.

Very high on rocky bluff- steep path up from water. Beautiful views! Fallen tree ( from 2006?) provides nice seating at campfire. Large lower flat area past campfire for 2 big tents. We put 3rd on bluff facing cliff and was fine for 2 people. We had 8 in our group, including 2 who were over 80 and they could get up to campsite Okay, though they did not make any more trips down to water than was necessary.

Very steep hike to campsite. I'm told there is an easier path to the site around the point on the south side. Tight squeeze for 2 tent pads. Large blowdowns in 2011 reduced the size of the site. Great views.

July 2011: Some chainsaw work has been done here, so this is a decent site once again. Not large, but a great view. Steep hike down to the lake every time you want water though. 3.5 stars

A victim of a Spring 2006 windstorm toppling 3 large pines across the campsite, including the kitchen. Also affects one tentsite. Would be closer to a 4 star otherwise. High on a hill -- nice view, but the 20 rod uphill "portage" from the landing at the narrows might turn some people off. Landing was ok, but shallow rocks during low water.
