This campsite was used as a base camp and was very nice. Often known as the "Knifty Kitchen" it has a nice fire pit and logs located around the fire pit allowing for nice campfire discussions. We stayed here for 6 days. The fishing was better than we had thought although not great. Primarily pike and small mouth bass. Upper campsite is the better location but those closer to the kitchen were adequate. Really enjoyed our stay here. There were four in our party and a friend came latter and stayed for 4 days. This could possibly be rated as a close 4 or 5 star site.

Very nice site with easy landing on the south side. Fire pit/ kitchen area and separate tent pad area behind it in the trees. Lots of hammock possibilities. we stayed two nights and was a good place to relax. Tried fishing from shore with no success. Lots of room to roam around the area.
Bad: The previous occupants were SLOBS! Found partially burned garbage and plastic bottles in the fire pit. Cigarette butts all around firepit area. Fish guts and skin in the shallow water right off camp to the West. Dead pike floating in the water right off shore

Didn't stay here, but scoped it out while fishing. Site looks very nice -- very spacious and covered. We stayed just southeast of here at 1YE, but once we saw this one kind of wished we'd had stayed here. Looked better for hammocks at least.

Stayed here 6/09 with large group. Two good tent spots away from fire pit. Site is a bit gravely and could be muddy if wet. Offered a couple nice sitting rocks for lake views. Canoe landing was good. Site was pretty wide open. A nice site to stay at in what is a busy area of the lake because most traffic passes to the east side without being seen or heard.
