Paddling against the wind past occupied campsites, we were very happy to find this one vacant. The view is fantastic, it's surrounded by big green spruces, and a breeze comes through so mosquitos are not as bad as at some other sites. It's pretty small, but the fire grate area is excellent, in my opinion, and you can sit on any side of the fire grate to enjoy the fire. Fishing from the campsite was just so-so the day we were there - little smalllies - but I'd guess it can be pretty good at times.. Saw a moose on the shore toward Meeds. Not long later, my friend saw it in the woods from about 20-30 yards away...while on the latrine. Nice view of the sky and Caribou Lake. Enjoyed the stay.

Very small campsite. It obviously is not used as often as the other campsites on the lake. The landing was good - sloped rock that allows you to parallel park the canoe. Otherwise, nothing special about this site, and it is probably the worst one on the lake.

Took as a last resort site. Really only 3 tent pads, all rocky, uneven/sloped and near the fire grate. Also a bit tough to hang a food pack but the forest in that area is quite beautiful.
