This used to be an easy 4 start site. Post fires it is a 2 star. We put a little work in and I would say its a 3 star for one tent. The best canoe landing has fallen trees over it so the take out isn't great. I like the fire pit and the wind exposure. The tent pad we used was nice. There are a few other tent pads that are overgrown with weeds. There are a couple of downed tress accross the side. We cleaned off the branches of them but didn't have the tools to cut the trunks up. Many of the Quetico sites that were in the fire area are in rough shape.

This campsite is a little open, not a lot of shelter but it has a lovely cooking/community area and a nice rock for swimming and getting water.
Lots of good hammock trees.
Tent pads are at the bottom of a small mossy hill which needs to be climbed for bathroom needs, but nothing too strenuous.
The water on Roland is stunningly clear, we saw a few turtles swim by when we were having breakfast on the water the morning after staying at this site.

Paddled by and it didn't look like much, but we didn't get out of the canoes, so there could have been more to the site back in the woods. Moose skull on log by the edge of the shore.
