The description was not accurate interns of this camp site. We got there and it was very buggy and dark and did not lend itself to be a nice place to camp. We moved on.

The old cabin remnants is great to see as is one HUGE pine and some nice old cedars. However, the site is very small, very overgrown, (the word claustrophobic comes to mind), and had almost no views or access to the lake other than the small rocky landing area. The surrounding woods is dense to the point of seeming primaeval/eerie. Fireplace was a crude ring of rocks almost in the bushes, with almost no seating. Again, I was happy to visit it and take some pics, but would only camp there in a pinch. I rated it 2 stars because of the big trees and old cabin, otherwise I'd call it poor (1 star).

Great site, one of my favorites. Easy launch shallows, rocky but friendly beach, somewhat sheltered but with nice views, and old log cabin remnant, great fishing nearby (Lakers on the north, bass and walleye on the south), fire ring, at least two good tent sites and I think one more.
