We really wanted to stay here but the site was already taken by the time we paddled by (at 8am!!)
Looked like a truly dreamy site, flat and spacious and with some very cool rocks _just_ below the surface of the water that you could stand on and it made you look like you were walking on water!
Very jealous of the people who landed this site!

Great site. All reviews below are accurate. For a heavily used site, it is remarkably clean. I prefer it to the Birch Island sites.

Large site at the base of a granite peninsula, good takeouts on both sides, sheltered tent pads, 270º views from the peninsula

A very nice site, comfortable with lots of tent pads, good swimming and nice star-gazing rocks. That said, it's sort of low-lying and not very "scenic" in and of itself. With a small group I might choose to stay on the south side of Birch Island instead.

Fantastic site! Swimming/jumping rock. Great canoe landing. Star gazing rocks on both points. Good firepit with plenty of flat rocks for setting up fish fry! Smallmouth fishing from camp in every direction.
