I missed this site and the one to the west as I was traveling East on Rose Lake. I backtracked from the furthest East site and saw stairs leading up into the woods. Very difficult to see and hard landing to work with. There were storm clouds and I wasn't sure if the site immediately to the West would be taken so had to stay here. Really not so bad if you like being back in the woods. Still had a decent view from the fire grate. Many choices for hammocks and I recall it being pretty good for tents too, but I use a hammock. Stayed here one night but then moved to the site to the West which is much better.

This site is set up as a hybrid canoe/hiking site with stairs leading up from the water. Campsite is okay with a couple dead or fallen trees about. It's elevated which is nice and has a spur trail that connects it to the BRT and the campsite to the west.

Second time staying here. Great views of the sunset and lots of space at the site. The pads are mostly flat but have lots of roots to maneuver. Does get really windy which keeps the bugs away.

Large site but rather difficult to find. Recommend keeping close to shore to spot this site as it's completely wooded along the lake shore. The actual site is up a steep incline from the lake with some rough steps, Very difficult to access. The canoe landing area in tiny and canoes must be lifted and carried out of the water to be kept up out of the lake; there is no way to drag canoes up onto the shore. Three tent pads are clustered together about 100 feet from the fire grate, the fourth pad is perhaps too close to the fire, but workable. The views from the site are limited, lake views are nearly completely obstructed by a heavily forested shoreline.
