We liked the firepit quite a bit, which is nestled inside a huge rock at about waist level. Great star viewing rocks both down by the west landing and up on the spine of the island. Lots of level space and nice lodgepole pines with good spacing. Best canoe landing is to the east.

Large site on a long peninsula with tall pines and a ΓÇ£spineΓÇ¥ of rock outcrop. In spite of the fact that the fireplace and tent area is towards the back (mainland) and that there are bays/low areas on both sides ΓÇô tending to favor the bugs ΓÇô a very nice campsite. Good canoe access. Great views from both high and low elevations. Good bathing/swimming access. Good smallmouth, pike and walleye fishing withing a short paddle. (June 2009.)
