Nice campsite on a quiet lake. Tough hike on the spur trail from the BRT, but all hikes on the BRT are tough! Lots of uprooted trees in the area. Good trees for hanging and large tent pads. essentially on a point so there is decent water access and breeze through the campsite.
This is a much better site than the other campsite on Partridge, which is just a wide point on the South Lake Hiking Trail.

Considering what this site likely used to be, there isn't a lot left. The hillside almost completely blew over which really has changed the character of it. We backpacked in and took this one for the night. Partridge Lake is definitely beautiful.

Narrow grassy landing. Good open and airy fire grate area and log seating. The woods just outside of camp kind of have a dirty/ swampy feel. Lots of bugs when we were there. Provides direct access to the BRT (blowdown has been cleared), and the breathtaking overlooks of Rose lake are a relatively easy day hike away.

Blowdown, blowdown, blowdown! Lots of fallen trees around here, especially on the spur trail from the BRT. Lots of potholes and whatnot around the site, so watch your footing. A couple decent small tent pads (enough for small 3p tents) and room for 1-2 hammocks. Decent room to fish from camp and a nice view of the lake once you get around the blowdown. Fire grate area has some nice big logs to use as tables. Overall not a bad site but the blowdown is real.
