Fabulous site! Yes, there is a slight incline to carry your gear up but it is not slippery, rocky or otherwise difficult to do. Great beach landing for boats and good for swimming. The site is a stand of mature Norway (red) pines with plenty of tent spaces along a stretched out hill top leading to a spectacular viewpoint over moose bay from on high with a huge rock slab to sit on or stage a cooking area from with the fire pit situated right below the rock sheltering it from north winds.

Used June 2011. Nice site. Good landing to west, but a little steep up from landing to site. Very spacious for a larger group. Not too buggy for a mainland site. Good elevation and western exposure for drying gear and watching sunsets. Some good fishing along banks to the SW across the channel.

Camped here 9-4-01 and 9-7-04. Could be 4 star easily. Campsite sits about 20-25 feet above lake elevation. Nice view to north/northwest. Fairly heavily used with ground vegetation mostly gone. Pretty red pine stand over most of the site. Nice fire ring with a big rock outcrop beyond it to sit on and eat dinner/watch the sunset. Firewood getting a bit scarce, but sanitation not a problem. Bay is shallow, but good bass fishing if water levels are not too low. Did not get lat/long.
