This site is as close to a tropical beach peninsula as you will find. Just substitute Palms for Pines. Very shallow beach on the west where you can walk out far and it only gets to your knees. Beach on the east side drops off quickly - take your pick for a landing! Very cool site for large groups.

Got swamped on the rocks as we were trying to push trough a windy, raucous afternoon on Sturgeon. Great set-up, with LOTS of space. Huge sand peninsula. Appeared to be a well-used, but not abused site. Suitable for a large group.

Note from a 1985 trip indicate this was a real nice site.

Stopped for a break here on 9-1-04. The shorelines on each side of the point are sand covered beaches. A most wonderful swimming chance, especially for kids. Point is flat and only 4-5 feet above lake elevation. Site is heavily used with most live ground vegetation gone around campsite. Lots of space behind camp to find the "restroom". Will have to search far for firewood. Good fire ring and nearly unlimited tent sites. Good views east and west. Did not get lat/long.
