We found this site open, and it was a good site, but there was lots of traffic. The site is at the junction of two different routes. There are a couple of really nice tent pads and a couple more that will work if needed. The camp faces east, so the evening is sheltered from the sun. Latrine was open to a tent pad but far enough from the grate area. I would not mind staying there again, especially during a lower-traffic part of the season. Lots of big white pine and cedars and pine squirrels. We heard a moose walking the shore line one night.

I thought this was on the best sites I have ever visited. It has everything that I like in a campsite. The landing was an easy, pull-in landing with sand. Short climb up to the kitchen area with an amazing view. The kitchen itself is somewhat sheltered, but you can get your fill of views by sitting on the rocks just outside the kitchen. The campsite is a huge open area with tall white pines all around. The kitchen has the best log bench I have ever seen - it was a very large tree, and it is the perfect height and really long. There is one exceptional tent pad with 2-4 more "good" tent pads, but you can find numerous spots in the woods to fit as many as you like.

Lots of tent pads. Some a little sloped, but most are excellent. We had no problems finding 4 good tent sites. The large fallen log running through the middle is a great table area. I stayed here in 2022, and also a few years prior. We saw moose both times. Also, lots of other wildlife - otters, loons, etc. Great swimming out from the large rock cliff (don't cliff jump). Best canoe landing is on the southeast side of the site. There are giant pines in this site, but no good food hanging limbs. Good private thunderbox a short walk from the main campsite area.

Passed by this campsite on our way south. This site sits on a nice rock shelf. It's smaller than some others, but it's also quieter than stuff more on the main drag to the north. I like this one.

Large open space that was warm during the day but offered a lot of space for our kids to run around. I loved the views to the north and south. There were a lot of bass jumping in the lilypads nearby at sunset! My only complaint was that the one large log for sitting near the fire was set very far back from the grate itself.

Beautiful site! We had a moose in camp during dinner and a cow and calf across the water in the morning. The southern landing is the easiest. Decent tent spots for small to medium-sized tents. When we arrived, there were lots of limbs and trees down so be wary of wind. Swampy behind camp so there may be lots of bugs later in the year. We used the small rock cliff for our tarp and it worked well as a shield from the wind. Great spot!

Lots of seating / food preparation space with a large cedar log through the middle of the site in addition to three logs around the campfire. Good swimming off the end of the large rock. If there's a group at the nearby site you will hear them. Saw a moose and otters near the marshy area heading towards VIsta. Great for a large group! About a 2.5 hour paddle from the Poplar Lake landing

Very large site. A couple of good landings. Good place to see moose. Although there are several tent pads none of them are suitable for a large tent. For smaller tents this is a great site.

This site is absolutely great. Agree with the other review, it is further North than indicated on this map. There are two great rocks for sitting, one on the East side and one on the North. The North rock has a large crack in it that could be dangerous at night. Didn't get a chance to fish it, but that rock looks to have pretty good fishing out front.
