The ambience isn't as nice as other sites on Horseshoe, but this campsite has everything you need. The site has mostly spruce and balsam instead of the iconic white and red pines. I was able to parallel park the canoe at the landing. Compact site - mostly everything is around the kitchen.

This is actually a better campsite than it appears from the water, but with the other group staying just across the way, we opted to move on to one lake closer to our exit point.

Worst site we've stayed at. Very over used and abused by people disrespecting the area. Cigarette butts on the ground, birch trees with their bark ripped off (meanwhile plenty of dry bark and twigs everywhere if one needed kindling), and someone has nailed a piece of plywood to a tree to make a standing kitchen counter, leaving another piece of plywood thrown in the woods to the side. Disappointing.

The landing is a little deep but fairly easy. 3 nice level tent pads suitable for large tents, one would be very close to fire grate area. Excellent sunset viewing rocks. Latrine is fairly new and has a cover but it is close and fairly open to the campsite. Close in proximity to the site across from it. A lot of traffic. Easy fishing from shore in front and to the north of the campsite down some trails.

Nice little site with easy access. Only paddled by to take a peek. There was a dead moose floating in the bay that was smelling pretty funky.

Nice site with access off the south side of the point but trails leading throughout the point. The forest floor around the site is very wide open providing for easy wood collection well away from camp. My biggest complaint was that it is pretty close to the site to the west, which means you catch a lot of noise from your neighbors. Still, this site was a nice base camp for a couple nights on Horseshoe.

Nice protected site with two good tent pads. Worked well for two hammock campers. On a small bay with easy canoe approach.

Well used site. It was in a little bay with no wind, but private. If it wasn't for the bugs it would of been a good camp.
