Blown down tree is still there, but at end of camp area, not over sight. Sight has probably moved to the north since it came down. Good sunning rocks, but difficult to land canoes

Stayed here night of 8/29/2007. 270 degree views from around this point. AM sun, good places to cool off in water, great rocks to fish from or lie on. Caught smallmouths off N point. Fireplace, seating, and canoe access NOT the greatest. Now, about the tent area and those pesky trees. One tall dead pine caught in top of another living one has apparently been like that since at least 2005 and will not be moving soon. It is NOT directly 'over' the tent area, but I suppose there is some risk & Eureka TL4 barely fit in the rear of the tent area. Much firewood and no one else for miles. Sweet!

Stayed here in July 2005. Really liked the site even though bugs were bad. Group had some luck fishing from shore.

Looking for a site to stay at on 6/25/05, I checked out this site. There was a big tree overhead that had been blown down in the recent storm, resting up against another tree. This was directly over the main tent area. Had this not been there, it's a great campsite with a nice tent area but I was not willing to take the risk. Instead we headed just north east and found a site not on the PCD. It's just north of the island in Lonely. It had a great, shallow swimming area and decent fire pit. The tent areas were okay, really best suited for two tents, but we were able to get our three tents in.
