Our group stayed here when it was the last site available on Caribou. It's tucked back in the woods which makes it feel like a standard campsite vs a BWCA campsite. But it is in a huge field with endless tent possibilities. Blueberries right next to fire grate. Since it's at the site of an old logging camp, there are plenty of old artifacts to find in the woods.
So, all in all, a good site 'technically' but really lacking the charm of the BWCA.

Someone had left fish carcasses in the water and presumably something in the brush behind the campsite, so there were a lot of little critters. The campsite blocks almost all wind so the area did get very buggy for us, but the bugs did mean some fun wildlife sitings. A turtle marched straight to us and hung out for a little while, a lot of squirrels eating the beetles. Landing seemed just fine. Latrine was a bit aways and pretty open and exposed but we didn't mind it too much! I don't think I'd stay at this campsite again just because of how hard we were pounded with beetles and bugs, but I also wouldn't tell people to avoid it by any means.

Landing is a little small, but there is a grassy patch right at the water's edge which makes for good sunbathing. Two decent tent pads, one near the fire pit and one further back in some trees. The fire pit doesn't have much tree cover (you will need poles if you want to hang a dining fly near it). A few different spots to hang a hammock. The latrine is a ways back and has a steep incline right at the end. You will find some old logging camp artifacts around this campsite too.
