Beautiful site, but well used and lots of slope, rocks, and roots in the tent pads. But it is very large with a beautiful view. If you paddle straight across the lake and hike into the woods, you will find a beautiful waterfall coming from Deer Lake. It's not far into the woods and well worth looking for.

Fantastic cedar grove. While there will be traffic, this site is far enough away from other sites that it won't be intrusive.

This is a solid 4-star site for large groups every day of the week. We easily fit 9 people with 4 tents and 3 hammocks at this site. Yes, it would be helpful for a couple of those tents to be 2-man size, but we definitely weren't hurting for tent space. Be prepared to see some misuse here; this site gets used an awful lot. Fishing from shore is next to non-existent because it is so shallow. However, that makes for a nice walk out for swimming. If you are a larger group and this site is open, take it...and please keep LNT in mind.

Spent three days on this site. I like the boulder out in the water to sit on. The swimming was good off this site and only 3 hour round trip to Johnson falls. Stayed on this site three other trips. like this site.

If you don't mind sleeping on a slope, several tents could be set up, but you will slide down the hill in your sleep. We found one good, level tent pad, but it was in a slight depression so when it stormed overnight we woke up in a 2-3 inch deep puddle all around the tent. Luckily our tent is amazing and we stayed dry inside.

One good tent pad with a few serviceable areas if your footprint is the right size. Fire grate is set in a great spot with a clear shot at the lake if you want to toss a few lines in the water while at camp. The highlight was plenty of trees to position our CCS tarp over the fire grate area perfectly and hang two hammocks right on the water. Lowlight was that it is a long paddle to the fishing and portage on the eastern part of the lake.

Nice site with a great fire area. The entire site is slightly sloped so there is really only 1 flat tent pad, but the others will do depending on how you situate the sleeping direction of the tents. Nice rock down by the water for cooking. Be warned though, the latrine is far from camp.

3-4 stars. A sloping campsite that had 2-3 decent tent sites, although 2 were rather small. There were several large rocks at the lakeshore that allowed for fishing from the campsite. We would consider using this site again.
