This is a nice, open and flat site. The biggest drawback is that you do not have a direct view of the lake. Even though Maria is a "pass through" lake for travelers, you won't have canoes passing directly in front of your site. There is a submerged hump of rocks north of this island that is a smallmouth magnet in the spring.

We fit four tents but it was tight. Lots of mice and TP bombs. This is def. the better of the two island sites.

Nice Campsite, decent sitting logs around camp fire. Passed up the campsite on the other island as this one is definitely the better of the two campsites.
