June 2011: Small site with a well-worn look and not much useable space. 1 good tent pad, and possibly 1 so-so pad. Tarp hanging trees and ample firewood at hand. Decent fireplace and ample seating. Very buggy when we were there in early June -- not surprising due to the location on the small dead bay and shallow ground near the end of the portage. Good views and nice sunset when we were there. Rocks to sit on or fish from. (At the end of an 8-hour day this site will seem like the Hilton!)

This campsite gets little use but is not very distinguished. About 100 yds. from the portage, you can reach the portage via trail saving you a load/unload cycle, if you are going that way.
