This campsite is in a neat spot close to the waterfall. However, it does have its detractors which keep it below a 4 for me. First, it's easy for a group to wander into camp thinking it's the portage since they are quite close and the campsite comes first for folks traveling from the landing. Second, being so close to the entrance, this campsite sees a fair bit of traffic traveling past. The site itself is decent enough and the waterfall is really special.

Average landing, with huge log for sitting by lakeside. firegrate close to lake, camp is flat and has some nice tent pads. Of course the main attraction also qualifies as the main detracting feature. The near proximity of the waterfall & cascading creek is certainly a must see but, will likely also inadvertently send curiosity seekers into camp. I wouldn't plan on camping here but, it is definitely worth stopping if unoccupied. In that event, it can be accessed from the nearby portage into Crocodile Lake as well.

A place to rest your head on day one before heading in, or a place to pull up and view the falls. Not much more than that. Sub par kitchen. Never did find the thunderbox as we were just passing through, but I believe it is down a trail to the southwest of camp.
But, it IS completely worth stopping to see the falls. Not the safest scramble over the rocks on a wet day, but, it's granite. That's what you get. The falls are gorgeous.
