Excellent site. Large, Flat for many tents. Two fire places, the back one is a rock wall. Plenty of privacy but at the same time this site has many nice spots to view the lake from - "viewing ports." Plenty of canoe parking spots. One of my favorite and memorable camp sites. Despite other ratings warnings of traffic nearby while staying here, that's ridiculous. To begin with, there is no "traffic" in this entire park. One occasionally sees others pass by when traveling through this park, but when we stayed here, we didn't see a single person. I can't recall seeing anyone on our entire two-week trip. It felt like we had the entire lake to ourselves. This is a 5-star site. If someone doesn't think it's a 5-star site, I'd like to know what their standard is for a 5-star site. When we stayed here, we used both fire places but mainly the back one with the rock wall. I've never used the 41 rod portage from Batchewaung Lake to Batchewaung Bay because you can paddle right around it to the West with no portaging at all.

Nice site. Good firepit, not 5*, but nice. great view over the lake. Good fishing right off the point. Two good tent pads at the back of the site, others in the woods.

Apart from the other descriptions I will add this site has several pads back in the trees. There is also a takeout in the channel closer to the living area of the site.

The front of the side is a huge sloping granite slab. It has a nice view. Pretty well-used. You would get a lot of traffic going by this site.

Great site, but in a traffic corridor, and visible from a long way off, so it's often occupied.

We stopped here for a lunch break in July of 2004. It is a great site, very open with a good fire pit. The sloping rock at the north edge is the picture perfect place to absorb the scenery of Quetico.

This site is flat with 2 fire rings, 1 very nice ring! nice sloping rock into the water on the north side of the camp. Great place to lay and watch the northern lights when they are out! Nice shoreline fishing opportunities!
