Not a ton of flat space for tents but fairly open and scenic with many jack pines. Good swimming rocks on the south side of the island. Fairly breezy and we encountered very few mosquitoes.

When we visited, the island had been completely burned recently - so recent we could still smell it. There was still a place to put a tent, but if you stayed here, you would become covered in soot.

Stayed on west side of island in 2008. It was not a great site but did the trick as I got onto Batch late and could not find anything else. Not many suitable tent locations and very closed-in site, but a nice view.

Two sites. Best one is on the east side of island. Good, sheltered tent site. Even boasts a "table" rock for food prep. Good swimming area off the north end of island. Good landing. The only downside is that both times we've used this site we've had mouse visitors in the backpacks.
