Great campsite! Very large and a third of the island is park like with trails. Two acceptable tent pads, another small one, and a 4th for someone whose spine fits the natural forms make it ok but not on the large size for tent space. Has a nice fairly protected kitchen area under pines among cedar and another fire ring on top an open steep bedrock lookout west over the lake. The rock peninsula is great for night sky viewing, landing a canoe cleanly, or casting with the wind in any direction. Comes with an unusual 200 ton emergency shelter boulder with undercut edges on many sides and an area someone or two small could crawl under and probably stay safe in an f-7 tornado. It has decent immediate shelter from rain and some wind even if nature ate your gear.

Great campsite. Truly a 5* as long as you’re a relatively small group (two good sites for smaller tents only). Private. Lovely open rock facing west for gorgeous views. Canoe egress is good. Very quiet area.

Great site. Very good landing and canoe storage area. One of the best kitchen/fire pits we have found. Tent sites were a little harder to find and I really could only see a couple pads. Beautiful western facing rock to watch the sunset and then stars. We would happily stay here again.

Stayed here at the end of our trip. It was nice having a table to lay out you food etc. Egress for canoes was moderate. Would likely stay again because it is off the beaten path.

I agree with the others who have rated this campsite. This was an awesome campsite. It is very large, and it has an excellent kitchen area with a nice firepit. There is also a second firepit on a rock ledge overlooking the water. We stayed here two nights.

We called it Blueberry Island! They were everywhere when we visited. Great campsite with excellent rock fireplace and cooking area, log seating. Huge rock balcony for watching sunsets. Very private out of the way island. We stayed several days because we couldn't make ourselves leave.
