Remnants of an old firepit, room for one or two tents.

Stayed here 6/2011. Poor canoe access, no level area even at the poor fireplace, no tarp options, room for one tent on exposed mossy rock and a dead pine "widowmaker" right beside the tent area.with a decent view. 2-star at best I'd say, but it served us well for one night. (Like CG9603, I believe the location is actually on the next point South.) [EDITOR'S NOTE: Moved this rating to the correct campsite, so the comment about the campsite location no longer applies.]

Metacryst was a fine lake. Not much traffic, so the fishing and wilderness solitude were better than average. No complaints, only that the portage between Cutty and Sark required significant exertion. I look forward to the time when I can get to this lake again. Site may be located on the peninsula just to the south of the dot. [EDITOR'S NOTE: Moved this rating to the correct campsite, so the comment about the campsite location no longer applies.]
