This site is OK for a small group. Not great to have the portage through the site but frankly after checking out that portage, idk who's actually taking it. Site is just fairly compact overall but sits nicely against the mountain.
The walk to the John is a steep climb too. Would not enjoy if you really had to go.
We had great fishing from the shore for smallies....smaller than eating size unfortunately.

Average site. Kitchen area is ok. The best tent site is large but if it would rain this tent site is where the water would run to. The trail to the toilet is very steep and a good distance. This same trail is the portage to Pemmican Lake.

The main, and maybe only, reason to specifically seek out this site is to have a great base camp to visit Pemmican. The portage to Pemmican goes right through the camp. I could discern 2 tent pads, with one much better (and dryer) than the other. The fire grate is compact, but does have some seating. The commode is a pretty decent hike up a hill.

Average canoe landing. Room for larger groups. Nice, but very compact firegrate area. The best tent pads seem to be bowl shaped. They may puddle up in rainy conditions? Of concern: The portage trail up to Pemmican lake runs right through this site.
