I really liked this site, but it is in the wrong location on the map. The paddle planner map has it in the same location as the MacKenzie maps, but the site is actually located on the small point on the far Eastern end of the lake. No bother as the site is easy to spot from anywhere on the lake. There is one large White Pine in camp that is starting to fall apart some that stands out. There are no sitting logs at this site, and none are needed. This site has more loose boulders and rock than any site I have been to in the BWCA. The tent pads aren't in camp proper, but are scattered throughout the woods behind main camp. This is definitely a small, dead end lake site, but I really liked a lot about it.

A rocky but decent canoe landing stretches out in front of the site. Great firgrate area. Both sides have ample flat rocks for kitchen items etc. There are also a couple of small rock recliners. There are a few different tent pads but, all have some roots and/or rocks to deal with. Latrine in about the perfect distance back in the woods.
