This was the only site open on Swan. Wasn't a bad site. Had fresh clean water out of the brook to the east, and plenty of firewood to choose from if you went back by the latrine. was bummed to see people before us had cut down some live trees and left the campsite full of trash though. Caught a walleye and a few pike off shore.

Overall a decent site. It was buggy when we were there, and it probably would be buggy a lot given where it is located. It had the best landing out of all the six campsites between Bower Trout and Swan. The landing was a gravel area that we just pulled up to. A large grass area could fit one or two tents. The neat thing in the site is the logging camp remnants.

Small, but accommodating landing. Good fire grate area and log seating. A couple of nice tent pads near the fire grate with potential for a couple others back away from main camping area. (These could also serve as a tarp area). At one time this site was once home to a Alger Smith logging camp, and there are several remaining artifacts in and around camp. Also, there is a neat little brook gurgling just back behind camp (with a small boulder bridge) that provides some soothing wilderness background audio. Decent site for swimming but, (rocky) sandals recommended when in the water.

Off the travel route through the lake, so its nicely secluded. Excellent level gravel landing. Good trees for hanging packs. ideal for 1 or 2 tents. Not an elevated site, so may be buggy in summer. Can hear the nearby stream gurgling at all times.

I've stayed on much worse sites, but there was just nothing particularly attractive about this site. It lacks the open rock that I prefer and was a bit weedy and buggy throughout the area. This site offers good seclusion, but the other sites on the lake are much nicer.
