Low and next to water. Tent pads are all along the shore. It is a steep climb to the latrine. There must have been a blowdown behind the site since the latrine is in a field of aromatic flowers ("air fresheners") with few trees left standing.

Good site. It's very compact and right next to the water. There's not a ton of space and I would describe it as cozy. It served our group of 7 well.

hit this up after the brutal death march that was the portage from Misquah. It had been pouring rain all day and we were soaked to the bone and exhausted. And it was windy. So we weren't picky. Campsite is a long shelf along the shore between he lake and the steep hill we had just scrambled down. Landings were decent, and the fire pit was at the center. Various tent pads extended in both directions -- none were great, but certainly passable for our smaller tents. Forest Throne is at the end of a steep trail. Not great, but not bad either. But we mostly huddled in our tents to get away from the drenching rain.

Decent landing. Close to the portage but fairly secluded. Nice firegrate area and room for a couple of tents, but you'll likely have to contend with roots & rocks. As you might expect (being this close to the portage) the trail to the latrine is up a steep hill.
