We made do. That's about the best I can say about this site. Well, okay, it wasn't so bad, but it was definitely a far cry from the quality of the sites on the east side of the lake, and I was greatly disappointed when we arrived at one of the "good" sites about 20 minutes after another group had already arrived. The landing is quite tricky and, while there is some sand at the takeout, it quickly devolves into muck, making swimming much less than ideal. It was very difficult to find a good place to hang a bear bag, and we had to put our large tent right next to the kitchen area, since the other tent pad was just too small. There was room for a couple hammocks, and plenty of shade later in the afternoon. The views are okay (Ogish is a very pretty lake), but I wouldn't stay here again with more than 2 people, and only if the other sites were full. The site to the north looked larger, but had no shade, which was important to us on such a hot day. There was plenty of firewood, which is also a sign that it doesn't get much use.

A very small site with tight access from the water. We ended up staying here because all the sites to the east were already taken. Impossible to fish from the shore because of the dense trees all along the shoreline. I'd stay here again in a pinch, but it's not a site I'd make my destination.

This is a cozy site tucked in the trees and great for a small group with 1 or 2 tents.
There is a rocky landing and another landing to the left that was better. All the trees made it difficult to fish from shore.
I loved this site!

Kind of cramped, landing hidden, mucky bottom beach
