Nice campsite though west facing and exposed to afternoon sun. Great on a cloudy day and enough shade to be OK in direct sun. We got two three-person tents above the cooking area, two more in the woods to the right (back to the lake), and one more in the grotto off the latrine path.
We used this as a base camp for a three night stay and had some great day trips to Kekekabic and South Knife, as well as Mueller Falls and a Kekekabic trail hike.

This island campsite was not our 1st or our 2nd choice. It was getting late in the day though so we took it. Our intention was to base-camp on Ogish for 5 or 6 nights and we ended up staying here Saturday - Wednesday night. The tent pads are a bit cramped but we got a 6-man tent set up just above the kitchen area, another 2-man to the south, and a Eureka Timberline in the "cave" just off the biffy path. We also had two hammocks set-up. Good wind protection from every direction except west. Guess what happened on day two? Yeah...constant 20mph wind from the west. We set up a tarp and hung under there when it rained all day Tuesday. No fish to speak of but we had fun.
