This site clearly gets a lot of use. We had a particular problem with chipmunks that were indifferent to humans, we were constantly chasing them off and somehow they ate right through some rain gear that was in an exterior pack pocket when we weren't looking. The seating around the grate isn't much to speak of. We were treated to a beautiful misty sunrise, thanks to the clear view up the lake to the northeast, be sure to get up early to watch.

Though I would agree this is the best option here, comparing it directly to sites elsewhere I would still measure it as average. The landing is narrow, there are a few tent pads scattered around, the camp kitchen is average, and firewood is fairly sparse. But as a solo this site was more than I needed. With a bigger group it would start to falter.

Big well used campsite. Plenty of room to move around. Decent landing but not too big. Good places to hang hammocks near shore.

Good level campsite with excellent late evening walleye fishing from shore. We were lucky enough to have a cow moose and her calf swim across the bay in front of our site. Constant passing traffic due to the proximity of the entry point.

The best site on the lake but not a 5-star site.
