This site, like its neighbors, is just an average, close-to-an-ep campsite. A few nice tent pads, lots of traffic so the trails are hard used, and the firewood is sparse. That said, if something had to make this site stand out from its neighbors I guess it would be that this one got one of the fancy biff upgrades from the usfs while the other ones haven't. Gotta find something. Ha!

This site has the potential to be a 3 star site, but it needs some clean-up. Multiple birch trees have been cut down around the site, leaving logs lying around kind of randomly. The rocks from around the fire pit (as evidenced by their burn marks) had been scattered around the site. We tried to rebuild the fire pit rocks as much as possible and picked up a fair amount of trash. We had a hard time finding wood that wasn't rotting. Ended up paddling across the bay for wood. The landing is rocky and small. Positives included multiple large tent spaces to accommodate larger groups or large tents, and a large open living area to go with it. Fishing in the bay yielded nothing.
