We had a pretty big group of 7 here with three single tents, one double, and two hammocks. Hammock hangs were a bit difficult to come by. There was one small tent pad right near the landing that worked well with a member who had a cot. We had two smaller tents share the larger pad near the kitchen, and then a bigger tent and hammock on the spot just to the south. Another hammock not too far away from there. We also found that the large boulder near the kitchen served as a good spot for a rain tarp and to keep things dry.
The site didnt offer any really spectacular views or anything, but the rock face south of the landing was a great contemplation rock to just watch the lake. I imaging it would be a good sunrise rock, but I didn't catch it. The latrine was a decent walk uphill and offered good privacy.
This was a great site for a good sized group. Not anything amazing, but was able to accommodate our needs without us being on top of each other.

Kitchen area was nice and open. It was a small climb from the lake. Rocky landing that you could load and unload parallel to shore. You will need a lot of rope to hang a tarp over the kitchen area. We were able to catch walleyes from camp early in the morning and just before dark.

Open site with large tent pads. Offers a nice view of the lake. The kitchen is up a slight hill. The landing is average for Alton (meaning difficult) - it is rocky, but you can parallel park along the rocks to get out.

good for smaller groups. good fire area. I had to get creative for hammock trees. Nice fishing from shore. Nice point on south end of camp site.
