Very buggy, not just because of the season as the neighboring campsites were less buggy. Perhaps too sheltered by the island to get any breeze to blow the bugs away. Rated a two star as other sites nearby on Sawbill and nearby lakes were better than this site.

Nice quiet little spot with good fishing right in front of it. The views are blocked somewhat by the small island in front of it, but that also helps the fishing and cuts down on wind, so all in all it was a win. Spent two nights alone here and loved it.

The landing appeared to depend on water levels. Water was low when we were there, and there were nice rocks to get out on. If the water were higher, it might not work as well. The site is sitting on top of a 5-foot rock shelf with a decent view. There are some cool sitting rocks by the water. There is only one good tent pad, maybe two if the tent is small.
