Landing was a little slanted and the tent pads hand rocks/roots for our large family tent, but that is all the negative I could come up with. This site is a gem with an expansive 180 degree view facing west. I'm so glad it was open and our home for the night. We were unfortunately there on a night with a full moon and a bit of Canadian smoke haze, so the stars didn't really pop, but the stargazing on a new moon would be phenomenal.

We stayed at this site with a group of 8 and it ruled. Definitely one of the top large group sites on the lake. The rock outcropping provides beautiful, unobstructed views of the lake. The gradual rock slope into the lake allows for easy swimming. Tents can be set up in the woods near the rock outcropping, which compartmentalizes the camp nicely. We had 5 tents spread around in the woods, all with an appropriate amount of space in between them for privacy. A few of the tent pads are a little uneven, but nothing too bothersome and unmanageable. I had previously stayed at sit 897 on another trip – also a nice site, but this one wins.

Awesome site, loved it. Easy landing on the south side, great canoe storage. Amazing view of the lake and loons sang us to sleep. Kitchen area was very good for a tarp hang. Bear hang was adequate as well.
