The landing directly in front of camp is a bungled conglomeration of boulders. However, there is a nice sandy beach right next to it but, the trail to camp is somewhat of a bushwhack from there. The main camp area provides a couple of decent tent pads but, is closed in, affords no view and feels completely detached from the lake. There is a beautiful beach and accompanying swimming area as well as a few magnificent mammoth cedar sentinels standing guard.

Cherokee was busy so we had little choice but to camp here. Tucked back in the trees we were protected from the wind but had no view of the lake. 2 tent pandas can accommodate 2 larger tents but there really isn’t a good place to hang if you’re a hammock camper. Great sand beech and shallow water did make for a fun water football game!

We checked this site out before deciding to move on. The sandy beach is unmatched in this area but the campsite left much to be desired. Small with no view of the lake.

Site isn't great, but the sandy beach makes up for it.

Has a good landing with sandy beach. We had a bull moose in camp. This is one of the better one on Cherokee.
