I liked this site a lot. Great views. Landing was solid, cool kitchen space (which as mentioned in another rating is kind of exposed), good bif. A bit of a hike up from the landing to the site, but not a negative for me since that is how you get the views. A lot of chipmunks and red squirrels that came out when the food did, with one bold enough to run over my brother's foot at one point, so stay vigilante where you are setting things down.

Definitely a nice big site with a great view. Good amount of flat space for a couple tents, some hammock options, and a nice central flat section perfect for a big group tarp. Landing is only OK. Campsite 909 is visible and audible from central camp. That's probably the biggest downside; they were the only other group on the lake (with no groups on North Temperance, and few paddling through South), yet it felt like being on a busier lake because of the ease of hearing clanging/banging/laughter from the other group. Overall I'd still look to stay here if passing through again.

Elevated, hammock options, compared to the rest of the sites on the lake it is the best

Campsite is high up off the lake, large granite expands down to the lake, swimming area is very good to the west of the campsite. Plenty of room. Almost like a portage entry at the base of the north side of the campsite. Plenty of room to store canoes securely in this area. Shared the campsite with some weary travelers who couldn't find a site.

It had been a tough year for this site with lots of traffic by the looks of things. That said, it is an awesome site with one of the coolest biff locations I have ever encountered. Up beyond the biff is a nice overlook of the surrounding area.

Agree with the others. We were here for three nights and enjoyed it. The throne was fine. No sign of damage there. Beware of the chipmunks and red squirrels. They are a friendly bunch and will get into your food pack if you're not paying attention. This site and 910 in the NW corner are the two nicer sites on the lake.

Great site with wonderful views. Caught walleye from shore at night. Fit 6 guys and 3 tents no problem. However, not the best place to be during a lightning storm being that it is one of the highest elevated spots on the lake. Overall, great spot to base camp for a few days.

Amazing elevated site overlooking the lake. Nice level tent pads, kitchen area is a little exposed but allowed for a beautiful view of the sunset and stars. Great landing with a small uphill walk to site.

Great site. Great exploring for kiddos. NW facing. Great sunsets. Site is up on a rock for sweet views. Islands around provide fish. Decent tree for hanging food pack. Biff had crack in seat and pinched your butt. Beware. Good swimming

This is a great site perched up 12 feet from the water on a granite point. The landing is on the north side of the point and there is a small clearing to pull your canoe in for the night. Kitchen area looks out over the lake and the exposed rock is a great place for watching the stars. The biggest drawback to the site is its popularity and overuse.

We base camped here for five days. Elevated site excellent blueberries. Good trails that lead to an elevated area back behind the site for great views. The tent pads will hold water if it rains. Kitchen area is exposed and in the open facing north. Canoe landing is ok with a pull out/storage area just above the water. Throne is in good order.
