A very nice, flat, campsite overall. At least four flat tent pads scattered throughout the site. Large common area. Canoe landing area is very easy to manage and protected thanks to island 50 yards south of the site. The water between the site and the island is 10-11' deep. The only thing keeping this from a five star is the fire grate does not face the water. Some recent campers cut down two large birch trees in the middle of the site before our arrival and two large slash piles of green balsam fir tops were on the edge of the site that could be a fire hazard once they dry.

Very large, gorgeous site. The island directly off the canoe landing had some great wildlife views. We watched an otter enjoying a dinner of crayfish at sunset, repeatedly diving and resurfacing to crunch on the tasty crustaceans.

Nice landing, large group area, and good southern view from shore. Very protected from summer's southerly winds, BUT that means the stagnant air makes this site mosquito heaven. Not much moving air and dense tree coverage.

This campsite is VERY LARGE. It can very easily fit 5 tents comfortably, and probably 9 tents if you had to. You could practically play a game of badminton in the amount of space there is. Tons of room to bring your canoes far in. A tiny bit grassy at the edges and somewhat mosquitoey because of it. Plenty of trees available for a bear bag, and a fairly nice sitting area. Latrine currently has a broken lid, but works fine. The rock out front gives a good view of the sunset.

Great site - large and open but fairly protected from weather. The kind folks prior to us left us a stack of wood but there was plenty to be found elsewhere nearby. Excellent sandy landing and great view of island to the south. Good hammock options. Good bear hang options.
