We entered on a windy day. Turned the corner to a great site! Central location allows for exploration of this large and wonderful lake. One of the better sites I've stayed at.

A very nice site. awesome large sitting rock/wall in camp. too close top EP.... but that has no real downside. I simply felt like i was at my truck.

Probably one of my favorite BWCA sites I've stayed at. I suspect most people don't want to stay here because it's so close to the EP, but I loved it. Large, sprawling, nice rocks for sun bathing and swimming. I didn't get a bite from shore there - but then again I'm a terrible fisherman. Even though it's close to the EP, the fire grate area is very secluded and the only way to get here is to pass by it and come from the East - by then people would see you're there and move along north. Plenty of paths to explore, great to take day trips into Brule from and some really good pine groves to hang my hammock. Definitely 5 stars in my book.

Very nice campsite, only drawback was being close to the entry point, but campsite was secluded enough that it still felt private. Camped here with my 2 daughters for two nights of our trip as they really loved the campsite, and we wanted a quick exit on our last day.
Newer log bench by the fire area, and a few potential good tent sites. Some decent trees for hammocks, and nice rock ledge that provided both a good lookout area and a nice "privacy" wall. Newer latrine.

Landing is a sloping rock, slippery when wet but not bad. High traffic area. Tent pads are level and clear. Nice view from the kitchen.

If you arrive on Brule during a high wind day feel free to take advantage of this site. Great Canoe parking with sloping rock for little ones to fish from. Short trail from canoe parking leads to kitchen area with beautiful overlook of Lake Brule. Being the closest site to the boat ramp, this site is often overlooked but worth a stop if you need a spot to camp before departing the following morning. Also makes a great retreat compared to staying at the boat ramp if the lake is less than ideal on launch day due to winds or rain.
