Campsite is back in the woods with no view to speak of. It was cold and rainy when we were looking for a site, and I didn't think we would get any sun there to warm up, so we moved on. I can imagine that it would be buggy. The landing was good. It looked like someone had make a rock dock extending a little ways from shore. I think the water was high when we were there, so it was underwater, but I imagine it would be helpful with loading and unloading.

The landing area was good. Easy in and out in shallow water. The site itself is tucked back into the woods without much of a view of the lake. There are lots of trees around the site to hang hammocks and food packs. When we stayed, it was pretty windy and cold so the bugs where not an issue, but I can imagine in the dead of summer that this would be a buggy site.

Nice site for the smaller groups. Easy landing for canoe or kayaks with nice small rocky bottom. Site sits on a NE facing point at Brule Bay with easy access to the beautiful falls to Vernon Lake. You will see a lot of traffic though. Site has a good fire pit and the walk to the toilet is a short up hill trek. Two good tent pads with 1 to 2 others, but plenty of trees options for hammocks. The fire pit gets good sun through early afternoon and there is nice tarp options over this for rain shelter. Fishing off landing was good, but you will need to wade out to deeper water to prevent snags. Fishing in Brule Bay we caught Bass, Walleye, and Northern. I would definitely stay here again. Did sight inspection, easy to find spot on small lake. Easy boat exit, sight is in woods. Shady, no wind, might have bug issues. Would be on my night before exit sights list if it were not out of the way and a bit far from the exit.
