You could put an army of tents and hammocks here. Almost perfect site. Wish the big tree wasn't sawn, but that's probably for the best. Great views, great groves for tents and hammocks. Shallow swimming, but that's stretching for a negative. All around excellent spot. We had the lake to ourselves for three days. This is a site I long to come back to.

plenty of good spots to hang hammocks safely for the 5 of us. flat-ish rock outcrop to catch the sunset from. big logs around fire grate for sitting. plenty of easy-to-get firewood from dead standing or fell pine and cedar and dry branches to pick from.

FYI: If this site was on or near an EP I wouldn't rate it so high,as the fire grate is currently exposed but, there are a few small cedars that will (if left alone) eventually provide shelter. Hence the 5* rating. Nice very gently sloping rock slab landing. Site is somewhat elevated and provides a panoramic view to the east. Several premium well sheltered tent pads. Plenty of downed wood for future firewood.

Beautiful campsite with many tent pads. The island is beautiful and very secluded. I found a small Nalgene bottle full of matches next to the fire grate if they belong to anyone.
