What type of error are you experiencing?
The route has both paddling and hiking points. Look at the route and see if it makes sense. If you want just a paddling or hiking route, use one of the buttons below or go to settings and change the Route Types to use only paddling or hiking routes.
This route only uses hiking trails, but it is set to double portaging (or more). Double portaging triples the distance traveled. If you are plotting a hiking trip, you probably want this set at single portaging so the distance is only counted once. To set it to single portaging, use the button below or go to settings and change the Portage Trips to single.

The St. Croix and Namekagon Rivers converge to form the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, a treasured part of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, under the stewardship of the National Park Service. Spanning over 200 miles across Minnesota and Wisconsin, this Riverway was established in 1968 to protect and preserve the rivers' outstanding natural, cultural, and recreational values.
Our map of the St. Croix and Namekagon rivers was crafted using the National Park Service's detailed maps. The Route Builder on our website provides estimated paddling times and distances for routes along the St. Croix River, based on calculated flow speeds. Users have the flexibility to adjust these flow speed settings to better match their experiences or preferences. If any discrepancies or suggestions for modifications in flow speeds or locations are noted, we encourage users to contact us for adjustments.
