The main bluff on Winchell has a small overlook on it with a sprawling view of Winchell and a difficult-to-follow trail to the top.

Luckily, we saw a group up on the lookout as we paddled by. They pointed to the landing for us as we probably would have missed it. Nice hike. Pretty steep in areas however well worth the effort. Great views of the area.

Approaching from the west, just keep an eye out for a landing as you get close to the exposed cliff; that cliff and the lookout are actually slightly to the left of where they're marked here. There are a couple landings that eventually link up as you get closer to the cliffs. A clear trail heads inland. At a certain point it seems to split, with one heading steeply up rocks and another heading a bit farther inland; take the latter, which will shortly sweep back toward the lake. It should only take a few minutes.

Nice overlook. Never found the path... bushwhacked to the top.
