There's a wonderful overlook from here that is similar to the "West Rose Overlook" to the east of here. This one has a wonderful sunset vantage and an open rock face for viewing Rat Lake below.

Though this overlook doesn't quite get the attention of the grander view to the east, it's still an amazing spot to watch the sunset. I visited on a one-night backpack from South Lake/Partridge trail to Caribou Rock.
