We were surprised to find this portage completed deserted, which was a big change over our visit in 2021, when it was like Grand Central Station. We were prepared to move our stuff out of the way of everyone else, only to find we had the portage and falls all to ourselves. It was very refreshing to walk through the pools at the base of the falls. The flow was also much, much higher than in 2021, unsurprisingly.
