If visiting from the United States, you need to have the proper paperwork to set foot on Canadian soil.
First, you need a Remote Area Border Crossing permit. This allows you to cross the Canadian border remotely, i.e. by canoeing. Alternatively, you can enter Canada at a port of entry in your vehicle, such as through Fort Frances.
Second, you need a Quetico Provincial Park permit. This can either be a day permit or an overnight permit. Permit information can be found on the Quetico Park website.
