Easier than the EP portage but still a typical Misquah Hills portage. Steep, pretty rocky, etc. But the landings are fine on both ends.

A couple ups and downs. Footing was a but tricky in the snow. There were wolf tracks that ran the entire length of the portage. So cool! A little descent on the Ram end, and beautful scenery as well. Nice place.

A small but decent landing on the Ram end. There are several ups, downs, twists & turns along the way but, none are too severe. The trail itself is plagued with rocks & roots for much of it's length and the Kroft lake end is all but guaranteed to be buggy in warm weather. There are some nice mature cedar trees along the trail & several just off the Kroft Lake landing.
