We skipped this portage and lifted over the beaver dam. Just wanted to echo BWBrian's comments, despite the shorter portage (and actually no portage in our case), this is definitely "the hard way" to get to Oyster, especially going upstream. There were about a dozen liftovers in the section between Nina Moose and the portage to Agnes. If you like a challenge and navigating a twisty narrow creek as we do, this can be fun, but for most people, the longer portage into Agnes is probably the better option.

This is an easy portage. However, the narrow, twisting creek can be a challenge unless the water is high. There are also numerous beaver dams along this stretch. Paddling through Agnes and taking the longer portage is generally the easier route.
