I came through here on a few days off from guiding. Portage wasn't so bad. A little damp, but I was just happy to get out of Meat Lake. That said, Sprite Lake is quite the swampy, shallow lake too. The water is nearly Coca Cola color, but I happily drank it over the beaver water on Meat. The portage isn't bad, and there was worse ahead.
